Fauns treading grapes, Campana Collection
One with a brown patina and the other with a green patina
Height 32 - Width 59 - Depth 2.5 cm
This reproduction was inspired by a bas-relief in moulded terracotta dating from the 1st century BC, found in Italy. It depicts two fauns harvesting grapes, holding hands to keep their balance while their feet tread the grapes in an earthen vat. Beside them are a dancing flautist and a grape carrier.
