VALÉRY (Paul). Amphion. First edition on Holland paper (No. 10), the only print run following 10 copies on Japanese paper. Paris, published by the author, 1931. In-8 (200x250 mm), paperback, blue cover printed in black. 50 pages, a small black vignette of Paul Valéry on the cover. Spine and edges of the covers faded, slight rubbing and minimal tears to the edges of the cover. First edition, ‘produced for the author and by his own care’, of this lyrical drama by Paul Valéry, set to music by the composer Arthur Honegger. Limited edition of 50 numbered copies; this is one of 40 copies printed on Holland van Gelder paper (No. 10), the only print run following 10 copies on Japanese paper. A fine copy with full margins, largely uncut.
