Remarkable iconography comprising colour plans and phototype-reproduced photographs. Paris, n.p., 1941. Folio volume (460 x 350 mm), loose-leaf in a cardboard folder with laces. 48 pages, 101 plates. Folder damaged, with repairs to the spine. Edges of some plates rubbed, dog-eared with a few defects. First edition of this album, printed in an edition of 300 copies (no. 57). This collection, a supplementary volume to the monumental General Report of the International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in Modern Life (12 volumes, 1938–1940), comprises 101 plates organised into six sections: history, master plan, final works, lighting, layout and control diagrams. The photographs are by Béranger, Picard, Boileau, Grébier, Borremans, etc. Produced under the direction of Edmond Labbé (General Commissioner) and compiled by Jacques Greber (Chief Architect), this volume offers spectacular visual and technical documentation of the 1937 Exhibition, thereby complementing the main edition.
