Bound in full red morocco, decorated with the cross of the Legion of Honour featuring the three fleurs-de-lis which, during the Restoration, replaced the imperial eagle. Paris, from the Royal Printing Office, 1827. One volume, folio (295 x 226 mm). Long-grain red morocco, lace edging on the covers, the Cross of the Legion of Honour embossed in the centre surrounded by oak branches, decorated spine with small gilt and blind-stamped ironwork, decorated fillets and chases, blue moiré silk endpapers, all edges gilt. Slipcase. 108 pp. First edition printed on vellum. A very fine publication, produced by the Royal Printing House, with a title page decorated with the arms of the Kings of France.
