It is also enhanced by four original watercolours signed by Eugène Véder and mounted on passe-partout, entitled: Bouquinistes - Quai Conti.; Pont-Neuf – Vert Galant; Flower Market; Pont Marie. Eugène Véder (1876–1936) was a French painter, watercolourist and engraver, best known for his views of Paris. Influenced by Jean-François Raffaëlli, he made a name for himself from 1912 onwards and became one of the most sensitive interpreters of the working-class neighbourhoods, which he captured with poetry and precision. In 1928 he produced an album of 50 etchings, "Vues de Paris", printed in an edition of 300. These engravings remain among the finest of the city of Paris. As Robert Burnand put it: "With a few strokes of the pencil, he evokes the clutter and bustle (of the city); with a single line, he opens up infinite horizons". A fine copy, enhanced by the artist’s signature and four signed original works.
