[CHINA] - [RAILWAY]. Original photograph (1926). Original photograph of the members of the management board of the Beijing–Hankou railway line (now Wuhan). An interesting document on cooperation between Westerners and Chinese in the railway sector in the early 20th century. Beijing, circa 1926. 120 cm x 25 cm. Original photograph, with a Chinese title, rolled up and preserved in a metal case. Two creases on the photograph, otherwise in very good condition. Exceptional panoramic print (120 x 25 cm), with a list of the 63 participants at this meeting on the reverse, transcribed in French and Chinese. Among them are King Ching-Chuin, de Rotrou, Hsu King-tseng, Peretti, Pasqualini, Tchen J-ki, and others. Sent from Beijing on 29 September 1926, this photograph is preserved in a metal case to which stamps and a handwritten note signed by de Rotrou have been affixed, addressed to Mrs de Rotrou, with the note ‘via Siberia’. A historical document on the international management of this major railway line in the early 20th century.
