One of 200 deluxe copies on Lafuma pure-fibre vellum, with all illustrations in colour (no. 61). The beautiful illustrations include 115 drawings by Édouard Elzingre, wood-engraved by Paul and André Baudier, and 8 separate heliogravure portraits of the three Fratellini brothers at the circus and in town. The Fratellini family were circus artists of Italian origin, three of whose brothers—Paul, François and Albert—were world-famous clowns between 1909 and 1940. Very good condition.
