A fine copy of the first edition, illustrated with 16 engravings by Albert Flocon, enhanced by a signed autograph dedication and accompanied by an original drawing by the artist, a signed proof, 5 L.A.S. and a bookmark signed by the artist.

Quarto (230x275 mm) in sheets, filled and illustrated black-and-white cover, beige half-cloth slipcase bearing the title lengthwise on the spine, with a matching edged slipcase.
94 pages, 16 black burin engravings by Albert Flocon as inserts, including 1 as a frontispiece, all with watermarks.
Cover slightly discoloured in places, slight transfer from the frontispiece onto the title page, minimal wear to the half-cloth jacket and slipcase.
First edition illustrated by Albert Flocon with 16 burin engravings, including the frontispiece and fifteen plates, one of which is reproduced on the cover.
Limited edition of 200 copies; this is one of 176 copies on tinted Rives paper (No. 51). Enriched copy:
- an autographed letter from the author, dated 23 October 1980 and accompanied by an original drawing by the artist: “For Marcelle Gautrot with the engraver’s warmest regards”,
- a trial print signed in pencil by the artist and dated 1950, accompanied by a second signed dedication to Marcelle Gautrot,
- 5 autograph letters from Albert Flocon to Marcelle Gautrot, including 3 dated 1980, one from 1984 and one from 1987 (5 small double-sided sheets, each measuring 125x80 mm),
- an illustrated bookmark signed by the artist.
