A remarkable art book presented in a carved resin slipcase, the result of a collaboration between the words of Gilbert Lascault and the illustrations of Coco Téxèdre. No place, no publisher, 2015. Leporello 1070 mm, closed (200 x 160 mm). Loose sheets in a carved resin case, painted white and red, authors’ names on a red canvas and wallpaper panel suspended on a red thread. 2 sheets. First edition of this artist’s book created ‘in collaboration’ by Gilbert Lascault and Coco Téxèdre. The work consists of Gilbert Lascault’s autograph manuscript, juxtaposed with Coco Téxèdre’s original compositions, executed in red gouache and black ink. Only 8 numbered copies of this work were produced on Rives BFK paper. This copy bears the number 3 and is signed by the author and the artist. Coco Téxèdre is a French visual artist whose militant and multifaceted work places the female condition at the heart of her thinking. This artist’s book bears witness to her ongoing exploration of the relationship between sign, form, movement and text.
