[HOURS]. The Hours of Romme, complete and requiring nothing further. Paris, Pierre Vidoue for Germain Hardouyn, undated [1524 (almanac for 1524–1537)]. In-8 on vellum, [84] leaves (marked A-K8 L4); speckled sheepskin, decorated spine, clasp fastenings with brass ends, red edges (late 17th-century binding). A rare Parisian book of hours printed on Pierre Vidoue’s presses for Germain Hardouyn. The illustrations include a half-page title vignette, the Anatomical Man framed by four small astrological vignettes, 20 medallions containing figures of saints, floral and plant borders, and 16 large full-page figures. These depict: the Martyrdom of Saint John (f. A6); The Kiss of Judas (f. A8); the Annunciation (f. B5); the Visitation (f. B5); the Apparition of the Virgin (f. C4); the Crucifixion (f.
