This work on the running of a noble household in the midst of the Grand Siècle is of great interest. The first, shorter part sets out the regulations imposed by the Prince of Conti on his butlers, coachmen, postilions, etc. One chapter of the second part is devoted to the steward, another to the kitchen staff.
