PROPRIUM of the distinguished cathedral church and diocese of Montispessulan, by order of [...] the Most Reverend Charles Joachim Colbert, Bishop of Montispessulan, and with the consent of the chapter of that church. Montarnaud, Jean Capion, 1736. Folio, fawn half-basane, red title label, red edges (19th-century binding). A very rare liturgical songbook produced using a stencil in red and black, with the music notated, commissioned by Bishop Charles-Joachim Colbert de Croissy for the chapter of Montpellier Cathedral. The volume was supplemented, after p. lxxxiv, with [11] folios written in the 18th and then the 19th century. Seal of the library of the Bishopric of Montpellier. Binding rubbed, with worm damage mainly in the margins.
