[VALBONNAIS (Jean-Pierre Moret de Bourchenu de)]. History of the Dauphiné and of the princes who bore the title of Dauphins. Geneva, Fabri and Barrillot, 1722. 2 volumes in one folio volume, marbled calfskin, decorated spine, red edges (contemporary binding). A greatly expanded second edition – and the first under this title – of the *Mémoire pour servir à l’histoire de Dauphiné sous les dauphins de la maison de La Tour-du-Pin*, published in 1711 by the President de Valbonnais and revised by Antoine Lancelot. The illustrations comprise a large fold-out map by Guillaume Delisle, a folded genealogical table and seven separate plates, six of which depict seals and the last showing the tomb of Humbert I of Viennois.
