AUGIER (Émile). L'Aventurière. Paris, Calmann Lévy, 1892. In-4, green half-maroquin Bradel binding with corners, gilt fillets, plain spine decorated with a mosaic design, cloth covers, gilt head (Ch. Meunier). A new edition of this verse comedy, illustrated with compositions by Guillaume Dubufe, etched by A. Morse. One of the 50 special copies on Japanese paper, with a double set of etchings printed before the main edition. A unique copy decorated with 24 watercolours and 7 original pen-and-ink drawings signed ‘Ed. Ck.’. An autograph letter signed by Émile Augier to Édouard Thierry, curator of the Arsenal Library, is enclosed. Cover stained, spine slightly faded.
