Description
[CHANDIEU (Antoine de)]. Response to the Profession of Faith, published by the monks of Bordeaux, against the members of the Reformed Church, to make them renounce the true religion. No place, no date. [Geneva, Antoine Blanc], 1588. In-8, soft vellum with overleaves, traces of fastenings (contemporary binding). A very rare Genevan edition of this critique – first printed in La Rochelle in 1586 – of the Catholic profession of faith circulated in Guyenne to convert Protestants. Copy in its original condition. Binding soiled, faint marginal water stains, slight worm damage to the endpapers of the first quires. GLN-3305 – USTC 12632.
