Provenance: from Jean-Marie Chourgnoz’s studio collection. A versatile artist, he produced numerous works, including photographs, collages, sculptures, paintings, montages and installations, amongst others. He was also one of the designers of the ELF logo in 1967, and later of the CB logo—which is still in use today—as well as logos for INRA, ESA and UTA. A man of great discretion, his works, although numerous, are rarely seen on the market. As an official painter to the navy, he was awarded the Legion of Honour in 2018. He worked on commission for the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, Air France, Air Afrique and others.
