Provenance: collection of Antoine-Joseph Dézallier d’Argenville (1680–1765), his initials (Lugt no. 2952) and his number ‘2036 ’ (Lugt no. 2951) in the lower left corner; sold in Paris under the supervision of Pierre Rémy, 18–28 January 1779, probably part of lot no. 277.
