Arthur-Luis PIZA (1928–2017) – Ataly biscuit plate.
Designed in 1987.
Diameter: 35 cm – With its original box
Purchased from the Sèvres Manufactory.
The Ataly dish is produced by moulding. The decoration is then applied using a mallet with repeated strikes. After drying,
the piece is bisque-fired, that is to say, fired directly at the body’s firing temperature (1380°C).
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1928, Arthur-Luis Piza is a sculptor and engraver. He created works for the
Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres from 1969 to 1987.
