JEAN DESPRÉS (1889–1980) Silver-plated champagne bucket; the surface features a coarse hammered finish. The lower section has a recessed heel, whilst the upper rim is adorned with a decorative motif comprising a large, applied link bracelet. The flared body is flanked by two smooth, scroll-shaped handles, each secured at the base by a sphere. Signed ‘J. DESPRÉS’ at the tip beneath the base. Height: 21 cm – Length: 27 cm Provenance: Mr X, Yonne. Work acquired directly from the artist at his shop in Avallon. Expert: Emmanuel Eyraud
