Jean-Jacques Kihm (1923–1970) met Cocteau in 1953, after sending him his poems. A collaboration, followed by a ten-year friendship, developed. Kihm, also a playwright, published works by Cocteau as well as an essay, and staged his plays at the Troyes Festival and on the radio.
