Description
A centre table in mahogany and mahogany-stained beech, with a top in Belgian cherry-red marble set within a moulded frame, the rim forming a central projection, resting on four tapered legs. Richly decorated with gilded bronze fittings, including two bas-reliefs depicting a bacchanal of putti, garlands, quatrefoils, mascarons of Bacchantes flanked by facing goats, and cascading trophies.
A Louis XVI-style piece from the late 19th century, modelled on a design by Adam WEISWEILER (1744–1820)
