Bas-relief, a terracotta ex-voto depicting the miracles of the Virgin of Impruneta. Inscriptions: FECE CLEMENTE VANTINI QUESTO E IL MISTERO DI QUANDO FU TROVATA LA MADONNA DEL IMPRUN. The icon of the Virgin and Child is depicted in a small chapel. The two miraculous scenes are depicted above: the discovery of the icon by woodcutters who brought it to the church in Impruneta, and the story of a man named Biagio whose oxen, whilst returning from Rome, became stuck in the mud. His oxen pulled the cart out of the mud after he had prayed to the Virgin Mary. In the cart, Biagio found, as a miraculous sign, a terracotta sculpture which he placed in the local church.
