Delphin MASSIER (1836–1907) in VALLAURIS. A significant Art Nouveau pedestal and plant pot in earthenware and polychrome slip. The pedestal features a baluster column decorated with kiku (Japanese chrysanthemum) and foliage in polychrome relief, with a rounded, cut-out circular base (H: 77 cm); circular plant pot with a sweeping, cascading foliage border and a floral design on a gradient pink background (H: 41 cm). Some wear and chips. The pedestal is marked ‘Delphin Massier Vallauris’ (A-M). Circa 1900. Total height: 118 cm.
