Jean BERTHOLLE (1909–1996) for GIEN Part of the ‘Chasse Rambouillet’ service, comprising: - an oval dish decorated with a roe deer. Monogrammed on the reverse. L. 45 cm; - a round platter decorated with a stag. Monogrammed on the reverse. L. 35 cm; - four plates decorated with a pair of partridges (monogrammed within the design), a pair of pheasants, woodcocks and rabbits (signed within the design) . Diameter 26.5 cm. Note: design created by Jean Bertholle (1909–1996) for the President of the Republic, René Coty, in 1955 to furnish the prestigious residences that hosted the presidential hunts.
