François TAFFARY
A plaque in the shape of an altarpiece, made of glazed earthenware in shades of beige, green and brown, decorated with a Virgin and Child in the upper section and a Sacred Heart in the lower section, with the inscription ‘AVE MARIA’ engraved on the surface.
On the edge, an engraved mark: “Sarthe 1866 Ligron”. Beneath the base, stamped twice with “Ligron” and signed in relief “Taffary”.
Height 50 Width 34.5 Depth 6 cm
(Chips; the capital has been restored).
Note: François Taffary was active from 1879 to 1900 at the Beslouze pottery.
