FERRIERE-LA-PETITE. Lidded terrine with matching tray in polychrome earthenware, depicting a hen accompanied by six chicks and two eggs, wheat grains scattered across the rim of the tray, the rims decorated with yellow and purple borders and blue comb patterns, unmarked on the reverse, with a sunken ‘9’ mark on the reverse of the lid. 19th century (27 x 38 x 30 cm) (damage to the tray, one chick missing?, small chips). Accompanied by an auction lot sheet from the Calais auction house, Maître Eric Pillon, dated 1987
