Josep TAPIRO Y BARO (1830-1913), attributed to , Young peasant woman filling a jug at the fountain, circa 1860, watercolour, inscription or signature on the back, size: 38x27 cm + frame: 64x58 cm. Typical subject from his Italian period in Rome. This work is probably a study for the painting Camperola omplint el càntir (col. Joan-Enric Vidiella). It shows the same figure in a slightly different composition. Spanish painter. Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando de Madrid. Numerous trips to Europe and Morocco, International success during his lifetime. Numerous exhibitions of his work are regularly organised. Provenance: private collection, Bienne.
