A rare silver and silver-gilt round plate, decorated at the top and bottom of the rim with the IP monogram of the khedive Ismail Pasha, under the khedivial crown of Egypt, against a background of a large chased frieze imitating basketwork.
H. 2 cm, diam. 22 cm.
Weight: 515 g.
Silver hallmark: goldsmith for Jean-François Veyrat (act. 1832-1840) and title for export.
Good condition but age wear to the gilding.
