Charles Christofle, 1844-1847. TWO HORS D'OEUVRE BOWLS FROM THE TABLE SERVICE OF LOUIS-PHILIPPE IER, KING OF THE FRENCH, AT THE CHÂTEAU D'EU. One engraved with the arms of the last king of the French, azure with three golden fleurs-de-lys with a silver label surmounted by the closed crown, on a background of tricoloured flags, with the sceptre and the hand of justice in saltire. The second engraved with the arms of the Princes of Orléans, azure with three fleurs-de-lys Or and a label Argent, surrounded by the collars of the Order of Saint Michael and the Holy Spirit, surmounted by a crown of Prince of France.
