Engraved with the EU mark for the Château d'Eu
This set bears eloquent witness to the famous goldsmith's commission carried out by Charles Christofle for the service of King Louis-Philippe at the Château d'Eu in Normandy. This set was intended for use at the table of Louis-Philippe I and his family at the Château d'Eu, his favourite family residence where he twice welcomed Queen Victoria of England, sealing the First Entente Cordiale.
