Description
An 18K yellow gold (750/oo) ‘slavery’ necklace comprising four rows of jaseron links (only three in the centre), to which are added and interwoven two rows of fancy links in the centre, it is embellished with five openwork marquise motifs, each centred with a blue glass disc (slight chips) surrounded by small, probably fine pearls (two blown glass pearls added and glued to the back) set within twisted patterns. Fastened with a modern safety chain clasp, added later (originally with a ribbon). Late 18th century, ‘Oak Leaf’ hallmarks and listed in the 1809 Paris register. Gross weight: 22 g.
