Description
293 - 72 - S. PYON, OIL ON CANVAS, DATED 28/8/2011 - 31x41 cm - Originally from Montpellier, Virgile – known by his pseudonym SPYON – has been painting for some thirty years on whatever surfaces the city has to offer. Staying true to a very ‘old school’ style, yet one that is entirely personal and original, SPYON has mastered the harmony of lettering, shading and stylistic transformations. Highly renowned on the walls of his region and beyond, SPYON’s canvases are extremely rare, as he prefers large surfaces to defined canvases. The canvas shown here was created on 21 August 2011. This SPYON canvas is mounted on a standard stretcher frame measuring 41 x 31 x 2 cm. Spray paint and Posca. One-off piece, signed by the artist. 30 – 40 EURO
