Description
BRESSANE CABINET in wood and walnut burl, moulded and carved, with a straight cornice and a pediment adorned with a vase of flowers. It opens on one side via two doors decorated with scroll motifs (one of which has a false door frame, complete with key, a working lock at the back), revealing four levels with three drawers aligned horizontally in the central section (the central one with its key and a working lock), and on the other side by a drawer in the lower section (without a key), the whole resting on two short, scroll-shaped legs, the rear ones being straight. Late 18th–early 19th century. Approx. 221.5 x 144.5 x 63 cm. (Signs of use and wear, one warped door, a few scratches on one side; otherwise in good overall condition, though somewhat soiled).
