After CLODION The Spring, circa 1900 Patinated plaster Unsigned 36 x 53 x 24 cm This plaster is a reduced version of the marble executed in 1782 by Claude Michel dit Clodion (now lost) for the bathroom of the Hôtel de Besenval, home of Pierre-Victor de Besenval de Brünstatt, originally from Switzerland.
