A chiselled and gilded bronze table clock depicting Hannibal counting the gold rings after the Battle of Cannae. On the reverse side is a shield, a plumed helmet on a column, and an inverted emblem of the Roman legion, all resting on a rectangular base adorned with military trophies. Gilded bronze dial, chiselled with partially effaced Roman numerals, Breguet hands, suspended by a wire. This design is inspired by a sculpture by Sébastien SLOOOTZ (Louvre Museum) H. 52 cm W. 38 cm
