Silver (925) BROTH BOWL CHALON-SUR-SAONE, 1774–1775 (date letter X). A small model with palmette-shaped handles; the domed lid with a raised rim is surmounted by a knob-shaped handle decorated with fillets. The monogram MDP (?) within a cartouche featuring palm leaves is engraved on both the body and the lid. Signs of impact, repairs to the domed section of the lid, repolished.
