Composite armour:
Helmet (kabuto): Sujibachi with thirty-two iron plates
- neck guard (shikoro): with four brown-lacquered plates attached and laced with blue cord
- flaps (fukigaeshi): made of brown-lacquered iron and adorned with the Abe clan of Fukuyama’s crest featuring two crossed falcon feathers.
- central ornament (maedate): made of lacquered wood in the shape of oak leaves
Face guard (menpo): ressei made of red-lacquered iron, with a horsehair moustache and gold-lacquered teeth (damage, restorations)
- Throat guard (yodarekake): comprising three brown-lacquered iron plates laced with blue cord
Breastplate (dô): dômaru, opening on one side, made of brown-lacquered iron laced with blue cord
