Description
A chest of drawers with a recessed front, featuring marquetry depicting floral bouquets and Chinese-inspired utensils against a background of rosewood and mouldings. It has five drawers arranged in three rows. The sides are rounded with simulated fluting. The sides feature marquetry similar to that on the front, with a recessed panel at the rear. Top in Rance marble from Flanders.
Stamped beneath the marble with three small fleurs-de-lis and two applied ‘JME’ marks.
