Plain silver tastevin, known as a ‘tassou’, with a double-serpent handle. Louis XVI period. Hallmarks of the Fermiers Généraux of AUVERGNE, 18th century. Jurisdiction and town of RIOM, circa 1765 (letter X). Master silversmith: Genès-Bernard DULAURE, listed as a member of the guild in 1754 and again in 1768. Diameter: 8cm. Weight: 109g. Minor dents. Hallmarks reproduced in the reference work *Les orfèvres de l’Auvergne* by Claude CASSAN, page 142.
