Plain silver tastevin, resting on a stem, with a handle in the shape of an openwork fleur-de-lis. Louis XVI period. 18th-century Poitou Farmers-General hallmarks. Poitiers jurisdiction. Niort, circa 1778–1780. Master silversmith: Augustin DUCROC, admitted to the guild in 1778. Also bearing the fineness and hallmark marks of the Niort office from 1819 to 1838. Diameter: 7.5 cm. Weight: 60g. The silversmith’s hallmark is reproduced in the reference work *Les orfèvres du POITOU* by Elie PAILLOUX, page 113.
