Part of a porcelain tea service decorated with an enamelled coat of arms of Peter VAN HEMERT (1734–1810), member of the Dutch East India Company, director of the Danish East India Company between 1776 and 1783, comprising:
- a large teapot with lid, fitted with a brass or gilded bronze mount; H: 24 cm. Small chips to the rim of the lid; handle broken and reattached
- a small jug with a lid, with a brass or gilded bronze mount; H: 17 cm. A small chip to the spout beneath the gilding and a chip to the lid; the mount needs to be reattached inside the jug
- a single-handled teapot, H: 9 cm; handle broken but retained
- a small multi-lobed tray, H: 23 x 18.5 cm; slight wear to the decoration, very fine chipping along the rim
- thirteen cups, 4.5 x 9.5 cm including the handle; minor firing imperfections. Eight cups in good condition, three cups with a chip, two cups with a small crack
- eleven cups and three saucers of slightly different diameters Ø: 13 and 12 cm. Nine large saucers in good condition, two with a chip; the three smaller ones are in good condition apart from a few very fine, almost invisible chips
