The clock is crowned with an eagle with outstretched wings; the dial, with a guilloché-finished gilded brass background surrounded by a white enamelled band, displays the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals at every quarter hour, the hour markers are painted black; the movement is of the Brocot type, fitted with a five-spoke counting wheel, and the dial is signed ‘Comptoir Général Schnere – 3 Bld Poissonnière Paris’.
