Small tortoiseshell fly box decorated with half-stars; the top panel inlaid with a floral basket in gilded brass; the interior has two lids inlaid with brass fly motifs; late 18th century. 2.5 x 6 x 4.5 cm. Minor losses inside along the edge of the box; the partition between the compartments is missing and the hinge has been repaired; and a small, oblong tortoiseshell purse decorated with a gilded metal cross within a border of silver-plated metal interlacing on the top panel, the interior lined with blue moiré and featuring a white metal clasp bearing the SGDG patent mark, late Napoleon III period. 1.5 x 7 x 4.5 cm. The fabric is slightly torn on the inside, possibly restored at a later date; the box is in good condition
