France, Restoration period (1814–1830). Royal and Military Order of Saint Louis, founded by Louis XIV on 5 April 1693. Gold and enamel cross, half-size. Ball-tipped points, flanked by four gold lilies, ram’s head hallmark. Fluted ring. Ribbon missing. Gross weight: 10.08 g. 3.5 x 3.0 cm. (chips in the white enamel on the arms, knocks and deformation of the points; in the condition found, never previously in a collection, as is).
