Commemorative table medal in silver-plated bronze, by J.C. CHAPLAIN.
The obverse features the side-by-side busts of the Emperor and Empress with the inscriptions ‘NICOLAS II’ and ‘ALEXANDRA’ and the signature J.C. CHAPLAIN.
The reverse features the coats of arms of Russia and the French Republic with the inscription ‘VISIT TO FRANCE BY THEIR MAJESTIES THE EMPEROR AND EMPRESS OF RUSSIA CHERBOURG – PARIS - CHALONS - 5 - 9 October 1896’
