Description
France, Fifth Republic (1958–2026). CITY OF PUTEAUX (92062), Mementoes of Jean GODARD, Second Deputy Mayor. His ceremonial chain of office as Deputy Mayor. Made of tricolour moiré silk with a silver-plated metal chain and a circular medallion depicting the Republic with the inscription "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE", the reverse of the medallion bearing the coat of arms of the town of Puteaux and engraved with “Jean GODARD 2nd Deputy”. Diameter 9 cm. Presented in its cardboard case lined with blue fabric imitating leather. Included is a mayor’s or MP’s sash in tricolour Ottoman fabric with tassels and gold-coloured trimmings. It comes in its original box. (Signs of wear and age, in good condition).
