Travel pistol or percussion pistol.
Calibre approx. 15 mm. All metal parts with a light grey patina and small patches of oxidation in places. Smooth-bore octagonal barrel, originally damascened, with rear sight and front sight. The breech block is engraved with a small decorative motif. Flat-bodied percussion lock, chiselled with a small floral design, and a flat-bodied hammer decorated in the same style. Steel counter-plate cut into a bat’s wing shape and chiselled in the same style. Round walnut stock with a cap forming a primer well. All fittings in cut and chiselled nickel silver. Trigger under the trigger guard. Steel trigger bar present. Functional mechanism with two clear cocking notches and no play. Interior of the barrel with surface oxidation.
