A child’s toy sword modelled on the 1831 design, in a smaller scale, circa 1840.
One-piece cast brass hilt with nineteen flutes; the crossguard ends in quillons decorated with small discs. Blade with a slight mottled grey patina, double-edged with two fuller grooves and a central ridge, without maker’s mark or hallmark. Blackened leather scabbard with a central back seam and two brass fittings; the pommel has a shield-shaped button.
46 cm (blade 35.5 cm).
