Sabre of the “EST” railway company, without scabbard.
Fittings in cast brass, cylindrical handle in brown horn, crossguard with straight, rounded quillons; the pommel bears the inscription "EST" on one side only. Hilt missing. Blade: greyish-white with staining, double-edged with two fuller grooves, bearing the maker’s mark on the heel: “Coulaux a & c” on one side and “Klingenthal” on the other; the mark corresponds to production circa 1845–50.

(Signs of wear and minor handling marks; uncommon sword; a variant derived from the so-called 1838 model administrative swords (?); in fairly good condition).
