Description
France, Louis-Philippe (1830–1848). Pocket pistol with a box frame, percussion mechanism and forced-ball ammunition, circa 1840. Calibre approx. 14 mm. All metal parts are white. Smooth, round barrel. The chambers and breech block are engraved with foliage and scrolls. An identical hallmark is present on the frame, under the barrel and at the base of the hammer. Retractable trigger, decorated in the same style. Renaissance-style walnut stock with a stepped steel cap. Functional single-action mechanism with two distinct cocking notches. 17 cm (barrels 6 cm). (wear and signs of use; in fairly good condition).
